2/8/23 Vlog #15 complications with filming outside
Big film industries (In their films) usually have scenes that take place outside without editing just outside for different film scenes. For example, stranger things were filmed outside for certain scenes like this scene where they are at the trailer park. It is evident that filming outside is important, especially for most of the films out there that need to implement the outdoors to symbolize and represent what's going on and the environment of the story. My group decided to film outside by a canal for one of the scenes in our short film but we had run into a problem. It started raining, and because of the fact it was raining we would get all wet and the camera would get wet two things that we did not apply to our storyboard or wanted. With rain sometimes comes thunder and the thunder can corrupt the audio or cause certain sounds to be muffled or distorted. Not only was it raining but it was windy as well so we would get cold leading to poor quality of our film and the chance of us getting ill. Getting sick would complicate the situation even more because of the fact we wouldn't have people on shoot sessions to help. The wind was so bad we were cold, tired, and not wanting to film. But we decided to wait for the rain and the wind to end so we could make a higher-quality video to turn in. This image shows what our situation looked like everything got wet so we had to protect our equipment somehow at that point we just waited inside for the rain to stop. In the final analysis, weather can occur at any moment or point in time so it is essential to check the weather on a phone app or device to ensure you have time to film.
